Generator of Lorem Ipsum
The origin of "Lorem Ipsum" is surprisingly ancient and has his roots in the roman classical literature. Unlike what a lot of could think, is not a simple without sense text created in the digital era.
The text comes from of a fragment of the work of Marco Tulio Cicero, a philosopher, politician and roman orator of the 1st century B.C. The work titles "Of finibus bonorum et malorum" ("On the ends of the sake and of the bad").
The passage that uses like base for the "Lorem Ipsum" that know today is of the sections 1.10.32 and 1.10.33. The most recognizable sentence, "Lorem ipsum ache sit amet", is a version altered of the original sentence of Cicero: "Neque porro quisquam est qui dolorem ipsum quia ache sit amet..." ("Neither there is anybody that love, pursue or want to obtain the ache by himself same...").
thinks that sometime of the Half Age, a tipógrafo anonymous took this text of Cicero and altered it, deleting and adding words to create an unintelligible text in Latin. The purpose of this modification was to obtain a text of filler that allowed to the tipógrafo try different sources and designs without distracting to the reader with a real content. When lacking a logical meaning, the text of filler #turn a simple visual bloc, allowing to the designers concentrate in the aesthetics of the design.
The use of "Lorem Ipsum" popularised again in the decade of 1960 with the company Letraset, that distributed leaves of letters transferibles that included passages of "Lorem Ipsum" to be used like text of sample. Later, in the decade of 1980, the company Aldus Corporation included it in his software of self-publishing PageMaker, consolidating his use like the standard of the industry for the design and the layout.
